Summer Internship Opportunities
with Move San Diego!
Join Us! Move San Diego benefits tremendously from the time and energy put forth by our interns and volunteers. We can always use your help whether it’s staffing one of our events, helping out with the coordination of our programs or campaigns, serving on a committee, taking photos, flyers… the list goes on and on.
Interns have a critical role in the success of our organization. Most importantly, we like to have fun! Consider lending a hand. No previous knowledge or skills required. There are a wide variety of tasks and projects to suit everyone:
- Big and small
- One-time and continuous
- Technical and artsy
- Field observations and computer work
- Solo and group projects
- Policy stuff and research/office tasks
- Communications and writing
This summer our interns will focus on assisting our Transit Oriented Development strategy for the San Diego Region, creating new educational presentations on the connections between health and transportation, and monitoring local actions on transportation choices and sustainable communities.
Move SD offers Internships year round. Internships require 10-15 hours per week for approximately three months. They are unpaid, but you receive lunch once per week and your transit or parking will be reimbursed.
Our work integrates many disciplines, including public administration, city planning, urban studies, civil engineering, and community outreach. But you don’t have to be in a specific field to share our passion and advocate increasing your mobility choices by creating a safe and pleasurable environment for walking and cycling!
Please email your resume and a brief description of why you will be an awesome intern to Elyse Lowe at email@example.com.
